22. ... Nxb2 is also just as fast producing checkmate.

Why not 22...Nxb2+. If 23.Ke1,then 23...Ned3+ 24.Qxd3,Nxd3+ 25.Kd1,Qg4#. If 23.Qxb2, then 23...Qg4+ 24.Ke1,Qe2 or Nd3#. If 23.Kc1, then 23...Rxc3+ If 23.dxc3, Then 23...Nbd3+ 24.Kb1,Rb2# or 24.Kd1,Qg4# If 23.Kc2, then 23...Rxc3+ If 24.Kxb2, then 24...Nd3+ 25.Kxc3,Qe5+ 26.Kb3,Qb2+ 27.Kc4,Qb4+ 28.Kd5,Rf5+ 29.Ke6,Qb6+ 30.Kd7,Nc5+ 31.Ke7,Re5# If 24.Kxc3, then 24...Qc6+ 25.Kxb2,Rxd2+ 26.Kb3,Qb6+ 27.Ka4,Rd4+ 28.Nc4,Ka3 29.Qb4# Point is 22...e3 is not forcing so 22...Nxb2+ which is forcing seems to be a better alternative.
